George happily admits he’s one of Summit’s more mature instructors; having spent probably more time in Zermatt than anyone else on the team.
One of Zermatt’s original ski bums back in the day, he first qualified as a BASI instructor in 1986 and has skied and taught every winter since.
It sometimes’ feels like he knows everyone and always has an entertaining story to tell. But don’t let the odd grey hair and laughter line fool you, he still skis’ as hard as the youngest on the team!
When not in Zermatt he spends his summers back in London working as a wedding photographer, running round Regents Park to keep fit, doing the school run with his two young sons and flying helicopters whenever he gets the chance.
I had the pleasure of being taught how to ski from an excellent teacher, George at Summit Ski School. I didn't know anything about skiing and my teacher taught me in 3 days how to ski for leisure.
Excellent tuition given to all four of us
I felt really comfortable and secure during the lessons. I had a great time!
George was able to communicate things to me in a way that simply clicked and turned me into a MUCH better skier within 6 short hours.
Professionalism at its best. The two days I spent with instructor George were totally seamless and professional.
3 reasons to ski with George
I pride myself in being a safe, caring and knowledgeable ski instructor that only 30+ years of ski teaching experience brings.
I first skied in Zermatt on a family holiday aged 16 and fell in love with the place and I’m often told by clients that my passion for this amazing resort added an extra dimension to a great lesson.
“Never let age, nerves or frustration hold you back! Let me remind you skiing and life are supposed to be fun!”
