Ski Zermatt the way it's meant to be skied

Private Lessons & Coaching

Just you and one instructor. Want to iron out a technical niggle, or finally feel solid on steeps and bumps? Tell us what’s bugging you and we’ll sort it.

Kids & Families

From shaky first turns to blasting past mum and dad. Patient, great fun, and genuine progress. There are instructors who are brilliant with kids, and we know exactly who they are.

Guiding & Off piste

Already ski well and just want someone who knows the mountain? We’ll show you the runs worth skiing, the ones to dodge on a busy day, and where to be as the conditions change.

Why Summit?

Plenty of schools will sort you out a ski lesson.
Here’s what you don’t get everywhere.

Only in Zermatt since 2004

Henry, Erica and Paul have been in Zermatt over a quarter of a century. That’s not a number for the website. it’s knowing which runs are worth your time, which to skip when it’s busy. The inside secrets of years in the same resort. The kind of thing that makes a day rather than just fills it.

The same faces, season after season

Two-thirds of our instructors come back year after year, and a few have been with us a decade or more. Ski with someone brilliant this winter and there’s a good chance you can book them again next. Ski schools don’t always work like that. Ours does.

Matched to you, not to a gap in the diary

We don’t just hand you whoever’s free. Erica pairs every client with an instructor by personality and what you’re actually after, whether that’s patience, a proper push, or someone who’ll happily chat away on the chairlift. It makes more difference than you’d think.

Already ski well?

You don't need a lesson, check out our guiding days.

Many of the people who ski with us are already strong skiers. They’re not here to be taught, they’re here for someone who knows Zermatt inside out: where the good snow hides after a storm, which lifts to take to avoid the queues, when to drop over into Italy for lunch, and the little extras to complete the full Zermatt experience.

Our instructors are all qualified, so you’re in good hands whatever the mountain throws at you. But how the day goes is entirely up to you. Want to be pushed? Say so. Want to quietly sharpen your technique between great runs? That works too. Or you just want someone to show you the best of what’s probably the biggest mountain you’ve ever skied?

That’s the day most people don’t realise they can book. Until they do. And then they book it again.

Guiding Days

discover the best of Zermatt

We know this mountain so well we wrote the guide to it.

Zermatt isn’t one mountain, it’s three connected ski areas, plus an easy hop over the border to ski into Italy for lunch. The beginner slopes sit high above the village, the glacier runs are the highest in Europe, and for most first-timers it’s simply the biggest place they’ve ever skied. Working out where to go, which lift, what’s worth your time, it’s a lot.

So a few years back, we wrote it down. Real Zermatt started life as a printed guidebook put together by our team, and it’s now a proper online guide to the whole resort: the runs worth skiing by ability, the restaurants worth the detour, how the lift passes actually work, and why the piste colours aren’t quite what you’re used to. No sales pitch, just everything we’d tell a mate before their first trip.

It’s the same local knowledge your instructor turns up with.
We’ve just written some of it down.
