About:

I came to Zermatt is 2000, after graduating from Edinburgh University, on the recommendation of my great friend (and now husband Henry). I loved my first season but headed home to the job I had lined up in investment banking.

Despite trying to ignore it and to knuckle down with ‘real life’, the mountains were well as truly calling and I was drawn back to the Alps. We set up Summit in 2004 and Zermatt became home. In the years around my sons being born, I moved from full time teaching to working in the office…. now I do both and am lucky to have such a great mix of work.

Whether you speak to me when you are booking at lesson at Summit or meet me as your ski teacher, I’m looking forward to introducing you to Summit and Zermatt.

In the summer:
As one of the owners of Summit, I am still fully immersed in Summit during the summer months doing lots of the back office stuff.

When I’m not in the office, I try and spend as much time as possible outside with friends and family.
My Zermatt insider tip is:
Try and explore the full area, rather than get stuck on just a few runs. Even in the busy weeks, if you head the furthest left of the furthest right on the piste map you will always find some quite slopes.
If I wasn't a Summit instructor:
3 reasons to ski with me:
1. I am keen to help you make technical improvements in your skiing but like to keep things simple, if you are looking for tuition without over complicating it all then I can help.
2. If you are looking for a teacher with patience, encouragement and understanding then look no further – with 2 rascal boys at home, I have had plenty of time to hone those skills
3. Having lived in Zermatt for almost 19 years I can provide you with plenty of insider tips on Zermatt to help you get the most out of your lesson and your holiday in Zermatt.
