Being outdoors and active in the mountains is my formula for happiness and I absolutely love sharing my passion with others. To work as a ski instructor in Zermatt, surrounded by some of the most beautiful mountains in the world really is a dream job – helping people develop and get more out of their skiing amongst 38 mountains over 4,000m is incredibly special.

Adventure and endurance feature heavily in my life and I enjoy testing my limits through physical challenges and expeditions. Ask me about climbing all the Scottish Munros, ski mountaineering, long-distance running, Ironman triathlons… Or about my unconventional path to ski teaching via qualifying as a chartered accountant in London!

In the summer:
You’ll find me either in the hills of Scotland or in the Alps – hiking, trail running, wild swimming, cycling, adventure skiing on left over snow patches… As a mountain leader, I will hopefully be sharing the British hills with clients this coming summer and I am working towards the international mountain leader (IML) qualification which will hopefully bring me back to Zermatt in 2021 leading Haute Route trekking trips over from Chamonix to Zermatt.
My Zermatt insider tip is:
Don’t forget to keep your eyes open and take in the incredible mountain vistas we have. Even if the clouds are in, they can shift and, boom, there’s the Matterhorn!
If I wasn't a Summit instructor:
3 reasons to ski with me:
1. My enthusiasm and positive energy don’t really have any limits.
2. I am very patient and understand that everyone is unique and I will always tailor lessons to help you achieve the goals we set together.
3. I love factoids, so if you want to learn about more than just skiing, do just ask me anything. From pointing out chamois to discussions about tax, I’m your girl!
