Henry Meredith Hardy

Bio

Henry has been in Zermatt since 1999, he is one of the founding directors of Summit. He holds the BASI Level 4 qualification and is a BASI Trainer. He has also taught in Verbier, New Zealand and Argentina.

When not skiing he is usually to be found playing with his camera!

What's your favourite mountain restaurant?

Stafelalp - great atmosphere, fantastic food and an unbeatable location.

Best moment you have had on skis:

Couloir Dudu - a long time ago now, bottomless powder skiing with my Dad, brother and some great friends, what an amazing day.

What skis/board do you ride?

4FRNT MSP and K2 Piste Pipe for telemark

Favourite conditions to ski in?

Middle of a howling blizzard, zero visibility, in the trees!

What would beat a powder day?

Force 6 cross-on shore windsurfing somewhere (preferably) hot.

If you weren't a ski instructor what would you be doing?

I hope taking photographs somewhere and being paid for it.

What is your next personal challenge/goal/aspiration outside skiing?

To take more photographs!

What do you miss most about being a kid?

Summer holidays

What are you listening to at the moment?

Crystal Fighters, Swedish House Mafia, and Gang Gang Dance, Foals and lots of other stuff!

If you won the lottery, what would be the the first thing you would do?

Hmmmmmmm heli skiing in Alaska or windsurfing in Brazil, with a group of friends. I'll let the time of year I win decide where I go.

Dreams are the seedlings of reality.

Who inspires you?

Lots of people inspire me...Lewis Hamilton, Chase Jarvis, Mattias Fredriksson, Jamie Oliver to name a few.
